The Children’s Action Committee (CAC) advocates for Mendocino County’s community to prevent and respond to children abuse. The members of CAC engage our community on how to prevent abuse and neglect through public awareness and ensures that our children are safe and healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

The Children’s Action Committee (CAC) is the action arm of the Mendocino
County Child Abuse Prevention Commission. What this means is that, in Mendocino County, we are committed to the policy, and community support, for Child Abuse Prevention. In order to maximize the work of policymakers for children’s issues, the Child Abuse Prevention Commission is also the coordinating council referred to as the Policy Council on Children and Youth (PCCY).
Our membership consists of many community leaders, parents, child advocates, and mid-level staff as well as leaders in the public and private nonprofit fields, such as:
